अबिभावक बिहिन बालबालिकाहरुको खोजी उदार तथा दिगो संरक्षण हाम्रो अभियान
Introduction of the Organization ‘Sewak Nepal’ is a national campaign dedicated to orphaned and parentless children across Nepal. We, the individuals who can live comfortably through hard work, aim to rescue and provide sustainable protection for those who are unable to help themselves—namely, the orphaned and parentless children who are constantly dependent on others. On June 20, 2013 (6th Ashar, 2070 in the Nepali calendar), Nepali workers in South Korea initiated a campaign under the name “Poor and Orphaned Child Protection Fund”. A year later, the name was changed to “Orphan Child Protection Fund”, and the campaign expanded across countries like the USA, Australia, Israel, Canada, and Denmark, reaching Nepal. The organization was officially registered with the Government of Nepal under the 2034 Organization Registration Act on August 10, 2015 (26th Shrawan, 2072 in the Nepali calendar), and was named ‘Sewak Nepal’. Objectives of the Organization The primary goal of this organization is to search for, rescue, and provide protection to orphaned and parentless children by ensuring they receive basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing, along with proper education and training, to make them responsible, moral, and ethical citizens of society and the nation. Special Features of the Organization To serve selflessly, far removed from honor and prestige, while dedicating our efforts for the nation’s welfare to the best of our ability.
Why is this Organization Necessary? To ensure the protection and development of orphaned children, playing a key role in fulfilling the responsibility of producing responsible citizens. Promoting the message of unity and brotherhood among all Nepali citizens by embracing the idea, “Himal, Pahad, Terai—no one is a stranger.” Through collective efforts by selfless youth dedicated to national interests, Seva Nepal aims to provide long-term protection for as many orphaned and abandoned children as possible. Future Plans By significantly increasing the number of campaigners and strengthening income-generating programs, Seva Nepal plans to expand its children’s homes to various parts of the country. Current Activities of the Organization In the past, the organization has provided educational scholarships to around 25 children in Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Kavre, Magdi, Ilam, and Dolakha. Seva Nepal has run relief distribution programs during national and natural disasters. The organization has purchased 6 ropanis and 11 annas of land in Mandandeupur Municipality-9, Kavre, to build a children’s home. Currently, a rented two-story house in Dhatitar, Ward No. 9, Mandandeupur, Kavre, is being used to shelter and care for 10 orphaned children. Introduction The main purpose of Seva Nepal is to search for, rescue, and provide sustainable protection for orphaned children who have lost their parents and are deprived of education and other basic needs. The goal is to provide these children with proper food, shelter, and education. We aim to ensure that no child is deprived of education. While currently, only a limited number of children are being cared for, our goal is to expand and include more children from remote areas in the future. This organization is not a personal establishment or property of one individual, but a collective organization established for the betterment of society and to make a significant impact in the field of orphan child protection. This organization is not funded by foreign aid but operates through the contributions of its campaigners. Economic Aspect The income of this campaign primarily comes from membership fees collected from the campaigners and donations from philanthropically-minded individuals. However, the organization also aims to prioritize income-generating programs for further sustainability. Our shared goal is to expand this campaign on a larger scale, reaching every corner of Nepal and making it a model initiative. Moreover, transparency in finances is essential when carrying out any philanthropic work, and we have been committed to maintaining this transparency since the beginning. We have been adhering to extreme frugality in our expenses. This means that the funds will only be used for the children, ensuring that the amount reaches directly into their hands. Appeal This organization has been formed with the intention to contribute significantly and selflessly, unlike other organizations that may add unnecessary burden to the state. We call upon all patriotic Nepali youth, both in Nepal and abroad, to join this national campaign and participate in protecting orphaned children. Even by contributing a small amount from our earnings, we can make a significant impact on their lives without affecting our own. This campaign is expanding with the goal of collecting funds and helping these children. We request all individuals to provide whatever help they can, whether financial, physical, or moral, to support this noble and sacred cause.
Thank you!
